Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a respected California law firm to hire an experienced Trial Paralegal with strong complex litigation and trial support experience.


Overview

This role supports attorneys through all phases of state and federal litigation, including trial and appellate work. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of complex litigation experience, deep knowledge of California and federal procedures, and the ability to manage fast-paced, deadline-heavy matters with accuracy, discretion, and strong technical skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support cases from inception through trial and appeal
  • Draft, prepare, and cite-check pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
  • Track deadlines and maintain case calendars across state, federal, and local rules
  • Manage written discovery, document production, and deposition preparation
  • Prepare trial binders, exhibit lists, witness materials, and coordinate trial logistics
  • Provide in-court trial support, including exhibit and document management
  • Assist with appellate filings, deadlines, and assembling appendixes
  • Use litigation support tools (Relativity, CS Disco) and trial presentation software

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of complex litigation experience, including trial support
  • Appellate experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of California and federal procedural rules
  • Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved preferred); bachelor's degree a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and litigation technology platforms
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, deadline-driven, and professional
